Board of Directors Restructured for Association of Ameritech/SBC Retirees

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Buffalo Grove, Illinois September 24 2006 --

The Association of Ameritech/SBC Retirees, Inc. has announced the restructuring of its Board of Directors. It has been nearly a year since AT&T unveiled its new medical plan for retirees and the Association has been assessing the financial ramifications of this new plan upon its retirees. Based upon the assessment results and the success it had with last years focus on legislative efforts, the Board has voted to make several strategic changes.

Bruce Beckman, President, ( Downers Grove, Illinois ), announced that two major shifts have been approved. The present Treasurer Ralph Kolderup ( Palatine, Illinois ) has been named to the newly created position of Vice President-AT&T Benefit Relations.  Ralph Kolderup will be presenting AASBCR retiree issues regarding Health Care and Pension funding to AT&T management.  Also Chet Przybyslawski ( Arlington Heights , Illinois ), the former 3rd Vice President, has accepted the position of Vice President-Chief Financial Officer.  He will assume the responsibilities of the office of Treasurer.  Mr. Przybyslawski retains his technology responsibilities while his non-technical duties have been reassigned to 1st Vice-President Carole Lovell ( Parma, Ohio )

President Beckman said these changes have been effected to place more emphasis on assuring AT&T’s retirees will continue to receive the benefits they have earned and to place the proper focus on understanding how AT&T invests it Benefit capital.  “We have concluded that our efforts to secure earned benefits for today and the future, must be a two pronged effort, placing equal emphasis on both our legislative efforts and our earned benefits from AT&T.”

AASBCR, a non-profit organization, was formed four years ago to represent Ameritech retiree issues to SBC, renamed AT&T as part of the recent merger of SBC and AT&T.  For more information on the organization please check the web site at www.aasbcr.org.
